Good to Know

I want you to look and feel your very best in front of my camera! Here are a few things to consider when preparing for your session:

Family Session

Book your session for a time when the kids are at their best: after nap, having already eaten – as a parent, you know the times to avoid. Family sessions normally take 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on where we're shooting and how many breaks we take (I'm okay with those). As for family attire, avoid anything too matchy-matchy, and for the kids, stay away from screened or character clothing. The kids may love Spiderman but you may not want Spiderman on your livingroom wall.

Maternity / Newborn Session

Book your maternity session for when you're between 28 and 34 weeks. You'll have a nice round belly and won't likely have haven't entered the too-uncomfortable stage. Wear something that makes you feel great and shows off that gorgeous tummy! Maternity sessions normally take 45 minutes to 1 hour.

Prebook your newborn session! You'll want photos of your wee one when he is tiny – somewhere between 10 days and 2 weeks is best. And remember, I've been there, so if you need to reschedule your session because you're having an 'off' day, I completely understand. Newborn sessions take approximately 1 to 1.5 hours.

Portrait Session

Image is everything so in advance of your session let's talk about how you plan to use your portraits, as well as the appropriate attire to make your personality shine through! Two wardrobe changes are included and portrait sessions take approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour.

In advance of booking a wedding, let's meet to determine if we make the best fit. We'll talk about the obvious specifics of the day, and most importantly, the style of photography you want for your wedding. Come prepared to share your ideas!
